Thank you for visiting our website!  In 2016, the NJW Group celebrates 30 years of continuous operations and service excellence. During the course of the last 33 years our business has seen significant change. The NJW Group has grown from a small local staffing agency to a strategic human capital management provider serving government and commercial clients throughout North America. The NJW Group’s portfolio of services has expanded beyond our traditional program management and call center services into new domains including healthcare, transportation management and independent validation and verification services. Over the past 33 years, we have seen significant changes in technology that have changed the way people work and live.   These technology changes have transformed the way we recruit and retain talent serving our clients. 

While we celebrate our history we realize that we cannot rest on our laurels.  The NJW Group invests heavily in developing and deploying new technology, operational infrastructure and our people; in order to provide our clients with the highest level of service.   The NJW Group also strives to be a good business partner by providing our clients innovative new ideas, designed to assist them strategically align human capital resources to address mission-critical challenge.

About Norma J. Williams

As an entrepreneur, Williams laid the foundation for a success staffing services firm to the education, government, healthcare, and private sector while standing in an unemployment line over 33 years ago.  A veteran human resources executive, she founded NJW Associates in 1986 and counts the Fortune 500 and key federal agencies in Washington, D.C. among her clients.  Continually reinventing her business for the challenges of today, The NJW Group has emerged into a multi-state human capital alignment, and project management firm, providing industry specific subject matter experts for government, banking, healthcare, transportation and IT management. It is Williams commitment to excellence that has made her a sought after provider of in-demand human capital resources that supports its clients with the acceleration of business performance through human capital alignment; respective to mission critical operations.

A powerful advocate of personal empowerment, Williams sharpened her entrepreneurial expertise at the Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College, where she completed the school’s acclaimed Executive Management Program.  She is a graduate of the prestigious Next One Entrepreneur Program in partnership with Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and the Chicago Urban League.  Williams ‘entrepreneurial achievements have been features in Crain’s Chicago Business, Temp Digest, Black Enterprise, and Personnel Journal.

 

Williams was selected as one of the Chicago Defender’s Woman of Excellence, and nominated for Chicago United’s Business Leaders of Color.  She is the recipient of the Girl Scouts of America Illinois Council’s Community “Woman of Achievement Award” and has been recognized by the Minority Business Report and Illinois Academic Decathlon.  Williams gives generously of her time too civic, educational and community organizations.  She is a board member of the Illinois State Lottery Ticket for the Cure, Chicago State University School of Pharmacy, and Martin Luther King Jr. Boys and Girls club of Chicago.  Professional associations include the American Staffing Association(ASA), the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITT), Chicago Association of Minority Recruiters (CAMR), Chicago United, Executive Club of Chicago, Union League Club and Human Resources Management Association (HRMAC).  Williams is a highly sought after corporate and community speaker who speaks passionately on diversity, inclusion and the imperative for supporting women and minority owed business.  She is currently writing a book about personal empowerment for Entrepreneurs and C-Level Executives.
